Current News:

Coy is still wandering around Second Life as "Wyvern Dryke" [ongoing].

Nummy gourmet teas are at Coy o'Teas - mention my LJ when you order and receive a $3 rebate!

Currently writing Batou-Togusa fanfic for GITS [June 2011]

Want to Help Coy ?
Yes I'm disabled & get most of my income online. If you'd like to help me out, that's great! But I don't want handouts. You should get something in return. Why not go shopping instead? Consider the tea & jewelry at Coy o'Teas or the printed shirts, mugs, mousepads, etc. from one of the shops listed here: I get income from those sales.

If you absolutely must donate, I will send you something nifty. How about a tarot reading / gift in SecondLife / suggestion I haven't thought of yet?

Thank you very much.

Cleaning up, moving on

I just spent the last couple hours picking up my stuff in Mieville Poe (in Second Life). It's the end of an era. I built a fantastic plantation there, beautiful New Orleans style buildings and a French Market. It's gone, now. Just gone.

All things come to an end. It just hurts when you put so much energy into something, and it ends. It's the losing of yourself, that hurts.

The loss of self. Yes.

Hey guys, I wanted to create some metaphysical shirts & gifts, so I opened a new Cafepress store. :) This is one of several, with Archangels as the theme.

The first is for Gabriel:

Hugs and hello

Hi Guys, just a quick note to say hello. It's Spring again, and I'm gardening... but very slowly. The fibromyalgia speaks (almost) louder than my need to play in the dirt. So I buy pre-started plants and set them lovingly, one plant per day, in my raised beds. It hurts but it's worth it. Gardening is the only way I "zen."

I hope you all are well. I miss you <3

*HUGS* for everyone!
Marking Territory 2

Hello All! I hope you are well. I've been busy in Second Life building stuff and roleplaying, so not as much time for journals.

I'm going through and removing the links to the Dominion fanfic. Sorry. It's a project that moved way beyond fanfic and, once it was my own, I decided to try to publish it. So we'll see where that goes.

Take care everyone!

Recipe: Wyvvy's Autumn Fox Snax (candy)

Wyvvy's Autumn Fox Snax Recipe
by Wyvern Dryke

This candy is perfect for a cool Autumn day. Important: all the measurements are estimated, because I just dump the stuff in. Feedback is welcome! I created it after being inspired by the massive Fail of "Pumpkin Spice" M&Ms.

* 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup skim or whole milk
* 1/2 tsp Ginger
* 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
* 1/8 tsp Cloves
* 1/8 tsp Cayenne
* Dash of Sriracha (optional)

Tip: for easier melting, you can substitute premade "chocolate bark/dipping" stuff instead of the chocolate chips + milk.

* Double boiler (or 1 pot which fits into another, with water in the bottom one)
* Spoon or wisk to stir
* Chocolate molds (or in a pinch you could use ice cube trays)

Tip: spraying the molds/trays with cooking oil can help the set chocolate slide out, but gives it a slightly greasy exterior.

1.) Place all chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler.

2.) Heat water in the bottom of the double boiler until it is just -barely- boiling. Hold there about 15-20 minutes, until chocolate chips to melt in the top part.

3.) Stir frequently. Occasionally take the chocolate off the double boiler and give it a good, firm stir.

4.) Once the chocolate chips are melted, add the milk, then stir vigorously.

5.) Put back on double boiler and stir until smooth (about 5 more minutes).

6.) Pour melted chocolate into molds.

7.) Chill in freezer or fridge, about 1 hour or until solid.

8.) Enjoy the noms. :3
