This candy is perfect for a cool Autumn day. Important: all the measurements are estimated, because I just dump the stuff in. Feedback is welcome! I created it after being inspired by the massive Fail of "Pumpkin Spice" M&Ms.
* 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
* 1/2 cup skim or whole milk
* 1/2 tsp Ginger
* 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
* 1/8 tsp Cloves
* 1/8 tsp Cayenne
* Dash of Sriracha (optional)
Tip: for easier melting, you can substitute premade "chocolate bark/dipping" stuff instead of the chocolate chips + milk.
* Double boiler (or 1 pot which fits into another, with water in the bottom one)
* Spoon or wisk to stir
* Chocolate molds (or in a pinch you could use ice cube trays)
Tip: spraying the molds/trays with cooking oil can help the set chocolate slide out, but gives it a slightly greasy exterior.
1.) Place all chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler.
2.) Heat water in the bottom of the double boiler until it is just -barely- boiling. Hold there about 15-20 minutes, until chocolate chips to melt in the top part.
3.) Stir frequently. Occasionally take the chocolate off the double boiler and give it a good, firm stir.
4.) Once the chocolate chips are melted, add the milk, then stir vigorously.
5.) Put back on double boiler and stir until smooth (about 5 more minutes).
6.) Pour melted chocolate into molds.
7.) Chill in freezer or fridge, about 1 hour or until solid.
8.) Enjoy the noms. :3
